But before I start let me brief you on the past few months. Well, as some of you might know I took a break for exams and I am glad to tell you all that I am a Colored Stones graduate now. (yeyyy....) Ya I know! I also went to New York for practicals and got a chance to enjoy the city a bit. New York never fails to amaze me! I really enjoyed my stay.
This break was really helpful and I could solely concentrate on my studies.
Having said that, yes I missed painting a lot! I am just ready to start on with new projects in my studio again.
Now let me talk about this new series- Vegetables. Previously we painted FRUITS of different kinds and I am really happy the way the whole module turned out! I was equally happy to see your beautiful comments on social media sites. This further motivated me to go for a somewhat similar series- Vegetables in watercolor.
Although they might sound the same but believe me guys we are going to face some really different color mixings and textures in this series as well. As I always say nature has plenty to teach us. So just stay with me and explore the nature some more!
The materials to be used are :
1. A watercolor sketchbook/ sketchpad (140lb, 300gm)
2. A bowl of water
3. A soft tissue for blotting
4. A set of watercolor paints (tubes or blocks)
5. A palette to mix colors
6. A tissue roll to dab excess paint from brush
7. A masking tape to secure sheet on a drawing board
8. Round watercolor brushes in size 0, 3, and 6 – do not worry if you have brushes in size one above or below! This is merely for an idea. Feel free to sketch with the materials you have in handy.
9. HB pencil for drawing
10. Eraser
The approach is going to be the same i.e. starting with an easy vegetable and making our way up to some highly detailed ones. The module has been designed to incorporate various colors and textures so that we learn to our maximum potential.
